TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been involved in teaching medical students and nursing staff during all my registrar posts in Accidents and Emergency, General and Vascular Surgery in Perth Royal Infirmary, Ninewell Hospital and Medical School, Dundee, Sunderland District General Hospital and now at Northwest Thames NHS Trust.

I am a faculty member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England for Teaching “Basic Surgical Skills” and “Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patients (CRISP)” courses.

I am an examiner for the OSCE examinations for 3rd Year medical students and for the MBBS examinations at Imperial college.

I regularly teach the SHOs and registrars on surgical rotation, different aspects of surgery. They rotate to join me in operating theatres / out patient clinics and ward rounds.

I have medical students from St Mary's Hospital Medical School attached to my firm and they regularly join me in the outpatient clinics and in operating theatres.
